Peter’s Dive Resort Philippines

House Reef

Travel time: None/Minimal
Dive level: Intermediate/Easy
Dive types: Shore/Boat

One of the things that amaze first-time resort visitors is the fact that they can dive within shouting distance of their cottages. Truly, this is diving right at your doorstep!

Max Climax Wall is riddled with crevices, home to angelfish, snapper, Napoleon wrasse, sweetlips, and grouper which greet divers on their descent along the coral-covered heights.

A little farther along are Baluarte and Voltaire’s Rock, which both host a rich assortment of pelagics, including jacks, tuna, and barracuda. Rays, turtles, sea snakes, and sharks are also common. Gorgonian fan corals are well represented, as well as good clumps of black and soft corals.

The area is also popular among night diving enthusiasts, and sessions may extend to muck diving at the little-used Padre Burgos jetty.

Our old boat, the Whaleshark I, is one more attraction to look forward to: It now rests on the ocean floor and promises exciting future wreck dives.

And they say…

This area must have some of the best soft corals the Philippines has to offer.

Peter’s house reef is pretty amazing…

I suggest the house reef strongly. It’s as good as any I have seen. Max Climax is ‘almost’ as good as Napantaw.

What I thought was another ho-hum house reef turned out to be a spectacular dive!

Their house reef is one of the best that I have ever seen.

World-class…
